David Cameron: No New Investigation Needed

This is a pretty interesting feature. David Cameron, the leader of Great Britain's Tory party, is taking questions and responding to them via a webcam interview. He's an impressive guy, and we certainly agree with his thoughts on 9-11.

I don't think Davie is that cool really. He can't make his mind up on issues, and he's conservating, so he's not my friend!

Good to see him addressing 9/11.

It's unfortunate he even has to waste his time responding to these idiotic conspiracy theories, but it is good more public officials are slapping this crap down since the old tactic of “ignore it until it goes away” doesn’t work anymore.

Be honest here.

Cameron praised the 9/11 Commission Report.

No one who is familiar with details of 9/11 and wants to be taken seriously does that.

If I agreed with you, and thought that 9/11 denier stuff was rubbish, I'd still want the likes of Cameron to have an informed opinion. He clearly does not.

Here's a small example of what I'm talking about:

WTC cop also needs prayers

Wouldn't it have been prudent for the 9/11 Commission to have had a recommendaton to study further the health issues associated with 9/11? I realise that delving into the criminal actions of the EPA would be a distraction from the central mandate of the Commission.

However, as the health effects worsen for survivors from gound zero, isn't the decision to undertake more investigation and actions consistent with our values as a Nation.

Why? Because it doesn't talk about spacer lases and thermite? Please. The 9/11 report did exactly what it was supposed to do - it outlined the major occurrences of September 11th 2001. The report was NOT created in order to look into the claims of lunatics.

BG:

You will find that most people here are disgusted with the govt approach to the responders and their health post 9/11.

As far as your comment goes, likely many of the health problems would not have surfaced at the time of the report, and even those that had, it was not within their mandate, and it was not asked of them to look into it or comment on it.

I personally think a seperate commission should address this issue.
