Loose Change Forum Thread of the Day

As Pat mentioned previously, a college film class did a project reviewing Loose Change. One of them started a thread on it on the Loose Change forum, to which do-over Dylan, who was twice rejected from film school, replied. He is not a happy camper:

mise-en-scene?

look man, throwing around fancy film school terms does NOT make you an authority on the matter.i have a question.

what have YOU kids done?
it's easy to throw insults and ad hominem attacks, but your guides fall very
short on actually tackling the evidence presented.

Here is my favorite comment:

we took Wikipedia out of the 2nd edition. and we still only used AFP about two or three times.

So I guess we now know what he considers the limit for citing neo-Nazi propaganda rags in a "documentary" film.

I think it's time for me to register over there. After the debate with Gravy where Do-over admits that there remain 'mistakes' and accusations which lack foundation even in the third version, I'm kind of curious about what factual points in the film, if any, he still believes to be true.

I just have to figure out a way to ask the question without wishing stomach cancer on Dylan.

Since you don't like AFP as a source, perhaps you should try: http://ditkannietwaarzijn.nl/

Watch this Google Video: 9/11 and DU. truth in Holland

So, this is interesting... It almost sounds as if Dylan wants Loose Change to die.

He admits that they didn't really know what they were doing and that it's full of errors. Now he's showing frustration at its popularity.

And NewtonFig came back to tweak Dylan some more.

What have I done? Was a viewing guide and essay not enough for you? You want me to hold your hand through the process? I promise not to use big words like "mise-en-scene" (it's okay, you can use "ad hominem" all you want. How about “reductio ad absurdum”? Or “semper ubi sub ubi”?). I guess I'm not worthy of an opinion unless I cobble together copyrighted material and sell it online for personal gain.

I always love the excuse of "well, unless you do as good, or better, you can't criticize!"

I guess Dylan can't criticize the Administration as he's never been elected to the highest office in the land.

Like hey man, I mean I'm so glad I work in video, 'cause when they said "Film maker" to me, I thought I had to put all those holes in the side of the film.

Man, I could use a boxcutter, ha ha ha ha!

His comments reflect his disappointment that he is NOT, infact, one of those film school "know it alls".

His failure to embrace his "celebrity" totally, is a sign that he did not know that celebrity comes with two sides...those who love you...AND those who hate you. I think he was only capable of handling the former.

He says he doesn't want people to attack his hard work, but then he says he made it in his spare time, like it was a nice lesiure activity. Ctists can never make their minds up. Also, I would like Killtown to explain his Corey Lidle fake plane crash theory without slandering anyone.

And really, I don't know if I would go so far as to say it is "insanely popular" seeing as how I know only one person who has even heard of it.

Coming from someone trying to break into the "biz" and being around friends who have their masters in film, Dylan's comments are the some of the dumbest things I've ever seen.

I take my friends' opinions above all else when discussing film. Oddly enough, yes they spent lots of money, but oh! They know what the $&!@%$&* they are talking about.

What a chump.

Dylan, in Oneonta, "Higher Education" does NOT mean the same thing as it does here in California.
